Electives

Wesley’s Middle School Electives Program provides an incredibly important space within our curriculum for students to demonstrate agency and ownership over their learning, and choose courses within disciplines and content areas that resonate with them, connect to their developing sense of self, and make them come alive. We both seek to enable our students to more deeply pursue their interest in courses found elsewhere in our K-8 program, such as Music, Theater, Art, and STEM, as well as explore topics that are unique to our electives program. All of our offerings are developed to be mission-aligned, and to be in service of the kinds of qualities we seek to instill in our young people and future graduates.
