1st Grade Service Project

1st grade focuses on animal preservation and the humane treatment of animals. In previous years, they have taken field trips to Star Eco Station in Culver City and the Wildlife Learning Center in Sylmar to learn about endangered animals as well as the problems with keeping wild animals as “pets.” This then kicked off their signature research project on how to be animal activists. Any funds raised went towards field trips and a donation of funds and items to both organizations to help care for a rescued “exotic” animal housed at Star Eco Station.
