Ways to Give
Tuition alone does not cover the cost of providing an independent school education. Additional funding from voluntary donations, grants, and fundraising events is crucial to the success of all independent schools. Wesley's development program concentrates on three main fundraisers. Funds raised through these efforts are crucial to the school's financial health and continued success. Each of these fundraisers directly benefits the day-to-day experience of every student at Wesley.
We value our school's down to earth environment. In nurturing this atmosphere we rely on the principle of proportionate giving. We expect all of our families to join together and support each of these programs to the best of their abilities to ensure the continued enhancement of The Wesley School. By coming together to support our school we strengthen our community ties.
The Annual Giving Campaign is The Wesley School's single most important fundraiser. Last year's Annual Giving Campaign raised over $350,000 to benefit our students. 100% of Trustees, Faculty, Staff, Current Parents participated for the second year in a row. Monetary gifts and pledges are solicited in the fall. The average family gift this year was approximately $1,250. This means that some donations are significantly greater than $1,250, and some are less. Each family contributes to the best of their ability and every gift has an immediate impact on daily life at Wesley. Your gift benefits every student at Wesley and strengthens all aspects of school life, including educational programs, faculty compensation, faculty professional development, the arts, technology, and financial assistance. In short, your tax-deductible annual gift benefits all areas of our school every day. Please don't hesitate, make your gift or pledge today! Wesley’s current Phase One Capital Campaign funds the full construction costs of our new Arts and Administration building and secure Main entrance, along with key renovation and repurposing of existing spaces on campus. This essential construction supports the modest expansion of our community. Highlights of the new construction include the Multi Media Art Studio, an expanded Resource Center, two spacious middle school classrooms, a Community Conference Room, Faculty Lounge, and the Collaborative Work Center. We have raised $3.4 million of the $4.1 million goal to date. Significant gifts to date include full participation from the Board of Trustees and a large number of gifts from alumni families. We hope that our Wesley community continues to come together to take pride in our new building and help fund the remainder of our expansion expenses. Completion of Phase One will enable Wesley to move into exciting new phases of campus enhancement. Contact the Development Office for more information.
A fun way to support our Phase One Capital Campaign for the Arts and Administration Building is to purchase an engraved brick to pave the new main entrance pathway to our campus. For a donation of $1,000, you may engrave a brick with your name, your child’s name or family name. The Brick Campaign is a wonderful way for supporters in our Wesley community to leave a mark for generations to come. Contact the Development Office for more information.
