Science Fair

We are thrilled to share everything Science Fair! There are so many exciting opportunities happening this year, please take a moment to review them below. If you have any direct questions or concerns about viewing times, please reach out to Krysten or Jeff. We truly appreciate your flexibility and collaboration.

  •  Mad Science show for all K–8 students on Thursday, April 9 (8:30–9:30 AM). About the show, “Fire and Ice”: This highly interactive assembly featured engaging demonstrations involving air pressure, fire, bubbling potions, and more. Students were encouraged to make observations and form hypotheses while watching experiments, including one with “Eggbert,” a flamboyant egg that couldn’t fit into his house. The show also included exciting visual moments such as fire appearing and disappearing, ice that doesn’t melt, and a fog-filled finale. Be sure to ask your lower school students about what they saw and learned!
  • All science fair participants are invited to a special ice cream party next Tuesday, April 21, during lunch.
  • Awards Ceremony: All participants will be recognized with a ribbon and certificate during a special morning community on Monday, April 27. Parents are encouraged to attend.
  • If you’re looking for another fun STEM experience for the whole family, we encourage you to check out this upcoming event on Sunday, April 26th. The City of STEM Festival and Los Angeles Maker Faire, is Los Angeles County’s official science festival. This free, all ages event features a full day of hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and inspiring creators, all designed to spark curiosity and celebrate STEM for everyone, with programming in both English and Spanish.
