Community Service

At Wesley, we strive to partner with mission-aligned organizations to deepen our connections to the greater Los Angeles community. We provide optional monthly community service events for families that help facilitate student learning out of the classroom by encouraging and allowing our children to address real needs in the community. They learn first-hand the value of social responsibility, citizenship, and what it means to give back.

Wesley partners with the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry to provide canned goods to the food insecure throughout the entire school year, and has student representatives leading the charge in this effort. Additionally, around the holidays we participate in a toy drive, and in January our students participate in our Wesley Run for a Cause event in which we run to raise money for a mission-aligned charity each year. Past examples are the American Cancer Society, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Make a Wish Foundation, and LA Fire Relief efforts, just to name a few.

While our middle school students have to earn at least 24 community service hours each year, community service is important to all of us at Wesley, grades K-8. Wesley Helping Hands (our PA-led Community Service group) is a great school resource for families - please see below for our 25-26 Community Service Opportunities Calendar or email wesleyhelpinghands@wesleyschool.org with any questions. We look forward to servicing our community with you!
