After-School Enrichment Class Sign-Ups: Session 1

We are delighted to offer our Fall Session of After-School Enrichment Classes! These are weekly classes offered after school in a variety of disciplines. We will continue with many of the most popular classes (such as Drawing & Painting, LEGO Engineering, and Karate) and will be offering several brand new classes (like Robot Building, Lyric & Poetry Writing, and Fashion Club)! Choose your child's grade level below to view full class details.

Classes for Session 1 will begin the week of Monday, September 11 and conclude on Friday, November 17 (with the week of Monday, November 27 - Friday, December 1 for any make-up classes).

We hope you will sign your child up for one or more classes! Don't delay as often classes reach capacity rather quickly.

No classes on:

  • Monday, September 25 - Yom Kippur
  • Monday, October 9 - Indigenous Peoples' Day
  • Wednesday, November 1 - Parent/Teacher Conferences
  • Friday, November 17 - Friday, November 24 - Thanksgiving Break

Policies:

  • Auditing: If the class is not filled by the first class meeting, your child, at no charge, may audit the first class of any session. Should they decide to join, the full class fee is due. Class fees may not be prorated and there are no refunds or exchanges after the first class.
  • Refund Policy: Refunds are only available after the first week of Enrichment classes. After that point, there will no longer be refunds, including prorated refunds.

Monday Offerings - 8 Class Meetings
Drawing & Painting w/ Ms. Singletary
Class open to 1st - 3rd grade students. Minimum number of students is six (6), maximum is 15. 3:30–4:30pm. This class is designed for students who love art and would like more time and instruction in drawing and painting. Students will use a variety of drawing and painting materials, from pastels to oil paint. Whether working from reference materials or real life, students will strengthen their skills while having fun in a nurturing and relaxed environment. $150.00 per student (includes materials fee). Class dates: Mondays, 9/11, 9/18, {no class 9/25}, 10/2, {no class 10/9}, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, and 11/13.

LEGO Engineering: Super Structures w/ Professor Egghead

Class open to K - 3rd grade students. Minimum number of students is six (6), maximum is 14. 3:15–4:15pm. Come join the Egghead Engineering Team this session as we design and build huge structures! Using LEGO™ students will build mega bridges that can withstand over 4 lbs. of weight, 4 foot tall skyscrapers, awesome lighthouses, and tons more. Then, we’ll try to knock ‘em down, crush them, and put them to the test! At the end of the session, students will receive an Egghead Engineering Super Structures Degree proving they’re ready to build anything they can dream up! $200.00 per student. Class dates: Mondays, 9/11, 9/18, {no class 9/25}, 10/2, {no class 10/9}, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, and 11/13.

Fashion Club w/ Nexplore Enrichment

Class open to 1st - 4th grade students. Minimum number of students is eight (8), maximum is 18. 3:15–4:15pm. Unleash your inner fashion designer! Learn how to turn your stylish dreams into a small-scale paper fashion collection. (No sewing machine required). Also, Kids learn a variety of sewing skills using a variety of materials. Craft projects will teach kids how to sew a running stitch, blanket stitch, whip stitch, and how to decorate with embroidery. Kids will learn life skills they can use again and again on future projects. $315.00 per student. Class dates: Mondays, 9/11, 9/18, {no class 9/25}, 10/2, {no class 10/9}, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, and 11/13.

Tuesday Offerings - 10 Class Meetings
Young Ninjas: Patient Spider w/ Young Ninjas USA

Class open to K - 3rd grade students Minimum number of students is eight (8), maximum is 26. 2:15-3:15pm. For eons, people of the world recoiled in fear at the sight of a spider. But the truth, a spider’s greatest skill is its patience. To earn your YELLOW headband, you must display great PATIENCE, just like a spider. Young Ninjas is a high energy program introducing children to fundamental martial arts elements, like blocks, kicks, strikes, and the all important KI-YAH! Through skill training, fun games, creative challenges, and Pad work on foam targets, children develop self-confidence and learn to enjoy being physically active in a non-contact setting. KI-YAH! $235.00 per student. Class dates: Tuesdays, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/7, and 11/14.

Robot Building Workshop w/ Parker-Anderson Enrichment

Class open to 3rd - 6th grade students Minimum number of students is six (6), maximum is 20. 2:30-3:30pm. Build 3 awesome robots to take home! Learn engineering principles such as levers, pulleys, and gears, as you design amazing robots that can walk, crawl, and jump on their own!  $255.00 per student (includes lab fee). Class dates: Tuesdays, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/7, and 11/14.

Lyric & Poetry Writing w/ Mrs. Haeuszer

Class open to 3rd - 6th grade students Minimum number of students is eight (6), maximum is 15. 2:30-3:30pm. Dive into the world of poetry and lyric writing. We will learn to create and share poems and lyrics (for the aspiring songwriters out there) in different styles and forms. The only thing required is an open mind, heart, and notebook! $160.00 per student. Class dates: Tuesdays, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/7, and 11/14.

Wednesday Offerings - 9 Class Meetings

Musical Theatre w/ Tiny Spotlight Children's Theatre Academy
Class open to 3rd - 6th grade students. Minimum number of students is six (6), maximum is 25. 3:30–5:30pm. In this fun-filled musical theatre class for students in grades 3-6, kids will learn movement, vocal performance, "acting the song" and the fundamentals of putting on a show. This 10-week course will culminate in a toe-tapping performance of everyone's favorite musical, THE WIZARD OF OZ!  $540.00 per student (all-inclusive). Class dates: Wednesdays, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27,10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, {no class 11/1}, 11/8, 11/15, with PERFORMANCE 11/29.

ACE Escape (Escape Room Class) w/ ACE Enrichment
Class open to 1st - 5th grade students. Minimum number of students is six (6), maximum is 14. 3:15–4:15pm. Do you like puzzles? How about working as a team to solve mysteries and master riddles to see if you have what it takes to beat the clock?! Inspired by the popular Escape Room concept, ACE ESCAPE is an interactive and team building class, focused on getting kids moving, thinking outside the box and working together! Each day a new story/challenge will be presented. Go undercover to expose a heist operation, see if you can unlock the mysteries of time travel, or escape the hull of a sinking pirate ship. In ACE ESCAPE, students will learn how to work together using logic and wit, to race the clock in order to solve whatever challenge or mystery the day might bring. So bring your brilliance and skills. Do you have what it takes to escape? $210.00 per student. Class dates: Wednesdays, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27,10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, {no class 11/1}, 11/8, and 11/15.
Thursday Offerings - 10 Class Meetings
Behind the Scenes of Game Design w/ Kodely

Class open to 1st - 3rd grade students. Minimum number of students is six (6), maximum is 20. 3:15–4:15pm. The secret to getting your child interested in coding and design? Let them create their own FUN games such as Pac-man and Asteroids! Your child will learn to create their own games while learning concepts that are essential to problem solving and coding. The workshop will culminate with an open house for families to see the games their child designed! $435.00 per student. Class dates: Thursdays, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, and 11/16.

Chess w/ Parker-Anderson Enrichment

Class open to K - 5th grade students. Minimum number of students is six (6), maximum is 20. 3:15–4:15pm. We introduce chess to students in a fun and exciting way! For all students and all levels, we teach students to play chess and help them succeed in school by stimulating their problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and critical thinking. Includes exclusive booklets and worksheets. $220.00 per student (includes lab fee). Class dates: Thursdays, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, and 11/16.

Karate w/ Karate 4 Kids USA

Class open to 3rd - 5th grade students. Minimum number of students is six (6), maximum is 15. 3:15–4:15pm. Karate 4 Kids USA teaches Karate to build student's self-confidence and physical fitness while they are having fun and learn vital skills like: patience, persistence and active lifestyle through the martial arts. Practicing karate is to face challenges, learn to focus, solve problems and set goals and stick to them. Advancement in belt levels occurs through effort and attendance, though it is not our main focus. Our objective is to build strong youngsters both physically and mentally, building an attitude of success with every class.  $245.00 per student (includes $50 uniform fee). Class dates: Thursdays, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, and 11/16.

Friday Offerings - 9 Class Meetings
Flag Football w/ Coach Matt

Class open to 1st-3rd grade students.  Minimum number of students is six (6); maximum is 24. 3:15-4:15pm.  Have fun with Coach Matt while learning to play flag football!  $135.00 per student.  Class dates: Fridays,  9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, and {no class 11/17}.

Dungeons & Dragons w/ Mr. Kent

Class open to 4th-6th grade students.  Minimum and maximum number of students is six (6). 3:30-4:30pm.  This class is for creative students who thirst for adventure! Students will play in a campaign of the tabletop role playing game Dungeons & Dragons. These young adventurers will practice storytelling, build their problem solving skills, and have a blast being creative with their friends!  $135.00 per student.  Class dates: Fridays,  9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, and {no class 11/17}.
