SAIA is a Harvard-Westlake club led by HW Seniors Daniel Baek, Lyla Kavanaugh, and Dean Kim. These seniors are committed to inspiring the next generation of students in STEM through a weekly after school course for Wesley Middle Schoolers.
Each course will seek to enhance and build upon existing curricula at Wesley in unconventional, yet engaging ways in the fields of programming, mathematics, and biology/chemistry. Each week centers on a bite-sized “episode”: a short storyline, a signature lab, and a reflection piece—so curiosity stays high and content sticks.
The Trimester 2 curriculum is focused on Mathematics, and students will strengthen their math and problem-solving skills by exploring real-world math puzzles, developing logical reasoning, and mastering foundational algebra concepts in an engaging, hands-on environment.
