Here's a special note from our host, The Pinnock Family:
One of the dishes that you won't find on the menu of every Jamaican restaurant, but will find made in many Jamaican households, is stewed peas! This dish utilizes the versatility of the humble bean and elevates it as an entree that is loved by most who try it. We think this dish is perfect for the mild Los Angeles winter and a great way to share our culture with the Wesley Community.
Suggested Donation: $25 (Supporting the Wesley Community of Diversity and Inclusivity). This suggested donation amount includes your Jamaican Stewed Peas kit (serves up to five), inclusive of the meat (black & kidney beans and smoked turkey) or veggie (black & kidney beans) option, rice, plantains, spices, onion, green onion, garlic, coconut milk, flour, all spice berries, and complete recipe card!
