Lower School
Open House
We strongly recommend that you begin the admissions process by attending one of our Fall Open House events. These are specifically planned and laid out to give you, the participant, a great look into The Wesley School. We invite you to join us for a tour of our campus; to hear from students, faculty, and administrators; and to learn about the warmth, compassion, and learning environment of the Wesley community.

Testing Information
Kindergarten: After the application and fee for a prospective kindergartener have been received, parents will be contacted by the admissions office to schedule the first group visit for your child(ren). The first visit will last about 45 minutes long, and includes both a child/parent activity, as well as separate activities for each. These groups include ten applicants, and are usually scheduled from November through January. Children will also be invited back for a second visit, where they will participate in a larger group setting. This visit will take place in mid-February. We feel very strongly that it can be challenging for children to come to a new environment and have that one visit give us a true reflection of who they are. We feel fortunate that we have the ability to have children come for two visits, as often they are much more comfortable the second time around, and we have the opportunity to get to know them better.
1st through 5th Grades: Students applying to 1st-5th grade will be contacted by the Admissions Office as their application is received to schedule a partial visit day for their child. They will meet with the teacher of the grade that they are in currently, and 1st-4th grade applicants will complete assessments in math, reading fluency, reading comprehension, and writing.
Interviews
Parents of all applicants will be called for an interview with an admissions officer.
