Student School Visits/Assessments and Student and Parent Interviews
Kindergarten applicant families are invited to join us for a playdate on the Wesley campus this fall! This step in the process is optional (we know how busy everyone is!), and is offered on October 26, November 16, and January 25 from 9-10am (registration is available through the Admissions Portal once you complete your application). This playdate gives prospective students the opportunity to visit The Wesley School, meet peers, and participate in circle time and games, while parents have the chance to socialize and learn a little bit more about what it feels like to be at Wesley.
The next step is to schedule a parent interview with the admissions office. These meetings will take place in person, however Zoom is available upon request. The interview aims to engage with parents, discuss the school’s philosophy, and address any questions you may have. Interviews will take place between October-February and can be scheduled through the Admissions Portal.
The final step in the admissions process is an assessment for the applicant. This will take place in February, and the admissions office will contact you in January to confirm the exact date of your child's large group visit. Each large group will include approximately 14-16 children and the visit will last about one hour and 15 minutes. The children will participate in activity centers around the kindergarten classroom, as well as outdoor playtime and story time, while the parents will enjoy coffee and a question-and-answer session.
It is our goal to make the application process as user-friendly and as non-stressful as possible. We hope to provide you numerous opportunities to get to know our school so that you may feel comfortable in your decision come March.
Admissions Decisions will be emailed on Friday, March 14, 2025.
