8th Grade US History and Current Events

Prior to the European Age of Exploration, maps would have looked much like this one above, minus the outline of the Americas. Be one of first three students to tell Mr. Campy what Cippangu actually represents and you'll earn yourself a token!

UNITED STATES HISTORY and CURRENT EVENTS

With Mr. Campy

Overview: Our country has an extraordinary past, present, and, hopefully, future. This class is all about making that “hopefully” into an “undoubtedly”. In order to make our country the best it can be, we citizens should open our minds and begin to understand where we came from, who we are, where we are headed. In exploring the past, we can better understand the present so we can best prepare for the future. Our country is great, but in order to make it the best it can be we must understand what has made it great, and what has kept it from being better. There are also some great stories, and although most of them have zero vampires in them, they are there for us to learn from and enjoy.
