7th Grade World History and Geography

Overview: History is a subject that may be based in the past, but it is very much alive today. In fact, in exploring the past, we can better understand the present so we can best prepare for the future. For that reason, a great emphasis is placed on relating history that we explore in class to current events of today, and one of the best ways to do this is through discussion.

Therefore your participation in class is essential not only for your understanding of history but also for your overall enjoyment. The world is an interesting place so be open-minded and take the time to see how this is so! You will find that some very interesting parts of our lives today stem from faraway places and hundreds of years ago.
