Sculpture Out of Objects Around the Home

 

          

              

Objective: When students return to school, students will work in groups to create a 2 foot slide/sculpture out of found objects. The themes will be based on some of the subjects covered in their social studies classes over the course of the year. In order to get comfortable working in 3-D, students can make a small sculpture using found objects from home. 

Possible materials:
Toothpicks
Toilet paper rolls
Chopsticks
Paper
Cardboard
Old crayons
Corks
Milk cartons
Egg cartons
Set of cards

Students are not limited to the supplies above. They should use their imagination and find whatever might be easy to glue, string, or tape together that is around the house.
